Inorganic chemistry explores the structure, bonding, reactivity, and functional properties of molecules and materials across the periodic table. Our research program spans coordination chemistry, main group chemistry, and the design of advanced nanomaterials for applications in energy, catalysis, electronics, and sustainability. Faculty and students develop new synthetic strategies for molecular complexes, functional materials, and nanoscale architectures while investigating their electronic structure and chemical behavior using state-of-the-art experimental and computational methods. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, we seek to understand and control chemical processes at the molecular level, training the next generation of scientists to address challenges in technology, health, and the environment.
