Rice's Environmental Health and Safety and Laboratory Operations (EHSLO) Department provides support to the Rice Community in the areas of chemical and biological safety, fire safety, and office and laboratory safety. The Department also works with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure compliance with government codes and policies and assures everyone that Rice University is a safe place to work and study.
