The Chemistry Stockroom Shipping Center provides reliable, efficient, and compliant shipping services in support of research and academic activities across Rice University. Utilizing Federal Express (FedEx) as our primary carrier, we ensure the timely handling of domestic and international shipments, including specialized materials that require regulatory oversight.

Our team is committed to maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and service, while streamlining the shipping process for faculty, staff, and students. Services are available to all Rice members with an active Chemistry Stockroom account, with dedicated support staff available to assist with shipping documentation, packaging requirements, and compliance considerations.

Guidelines

Must fill out the Department’s Shipping form in the Space Science Shipping / Receiving Office (or you can print it here).

• Same Day Shipping cut-off time is 1:30 p.m.
• All shipments require a valid account number (fund and org).
• No cash, checks, or credit cards accepted.
• No third-party shipping.

Outgoing Mail

Department, personal, or prepaid mail must be boxed, labeled, sealed, and ready for shipment.

• Drop off box for all outgoing mail (FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc.).
• Delivery Services collects all outgoing mail at 2:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
